The Managing the Marlins Debate

Read the opposing arguments from Babe Ruthless and Loyal Homer.

Last year the Florida Marlins appeared interested in hiring Bobby Valentine as their next manager. In the end the team stuck with the incumbent, Fredi Gonzalez.

That choice did not even buy the Marlins a year, as last week the team fired Gonzalez.

Once more Bobby Valentine appears to be the name at the top of the Marlins’ wish list. Although the team has announced that Edwin Rodriguez will remain the manager through the remainder of the 2010 season, the job will most likely remain open to Valentine if he wants it.

Today I am challenging Babe Ruthless and Loyal Homer to a little role playing.

If you were Bobby Valentine, would you take the Florida Marlins managing job?

Playing the role of Bobby Valentine, one thought to be the future manager of the Florida Marlins, is Babe Ruthless, and Loyal Homer takes the role of Bobby Valentine turning down the Marlins job.

Sports Geek’s role playing will be kept private. (Editor’s Note: Very funny…)
